greetings.
We went to the neurologist this week and are pursuing more testing. We will start by doing a couple more metabolic and mitochondrial panels. There will also be another MRI in the future. It will not be until Spring though, as they want to put off sending her to the hospital for her MRI until there are less sick people there :) After she has her MRI, we will be going to Cleveland! Everything we have heard and read has been very positive about the Cleveland Clinic; some of the top specialists in the nation are there. We are very excited to meet with them and see if they have anything new to say about Ellie's condition and future. It will take 2-3 months to set up all the details with Cleveland.
Sunday morning, Ellie will be baptized at Harvest OPC. We are very excited to experience this sign of God's grace to her and our family. It will be a joyous occasion for the whole family to be together at church. We have not been there together since Christmas.
We are very eager for Spring and being able to get out more. Even Noah said to me this week: "when will all the snow be gone so that we can run around outside and ride bikes?"
hope you are well-
Emily

ReplyDeleteCan't wait for Sunday.
Love.
Oh thats wonderful. We have been waiting on an update.
ReplyDeleteMo and I were walking through Huron Valley Hospital last night and you could see into the NICU and Mo asked if the Isolets<?> were what Ellie was in when she was first born. I told her yes they sure were. She had to come home and go back through all the old posts of Ellie from when she was in the hospital.
We keep Ellie in our thoughts daily.
Hi Vedras,
ReplyDeleteWe have been reading your updates and praying for you all! We look forward to seeing you on Sunday at church and seeing Ellie's baptism! What a joyous occasion! Look forward to getting together this spring. I have major cabin fever, too! Heidi Hoven and family!
Dear Emily,Adam and family -
ReplyDeleteIt has been a while since I posted anything, but I still pray for you regularly. Your Christmas picture hangs on the refrig and so we see you and think of you so often. I rejoice with you and your family that precious Ellie will be baptized Sunday morning. The sign and seal of God's covenant and faithfulness is a blessing for you and your family. I pray all will go well.
I also am happy that Ellie is receiving good medical attention, that the continued testing and the reality of going to the Cleveland Clinic will bring you hope and a measure of peace that as parents you are doing the very best you can for her.
Each time I read your blog, I am amazed and strengthened by your faith. Continue to trust in Him who holds each of us in the palm of His hand.
Love, Ruth
