I've been dying to try Ellie in one of my carriers, so today when my friend Tessa came to the NICU with me, we just had to try it out. I think it went great--and was much more comfortable for my arms!
Here is a video of Ellie during one of her awake periods. Enjoy!

Dear Emily & Adam, Love the picture of you and Ellie with the baby carrier. Those things are so cool, would I had known about those when my children were little. They look so comfortable and natural. I watched the video ,that's cool too. It was so neat to see Ellie move, it felt like I was there. The coolest was to see her look around. Praise The Lord! Dan and I hope to meet Ellie and the boys when we're in Michigan visiting with your Mom & Dad. Meanwhile we'll keep praying and hope to meet your beautiful family soon. Love, In His Name, Dan & Sue Van Dyke
ReplyDeleteI'm so happy you got to put Ellie in a sling! That must've been such an awesome feeling! Praying for Ellie to come home with you soon!

ReplyDeleteLove you all.
Emily, you and Ellie look great! I really wanted to visit this week, but Lucas had a fever so I will wait until later next week to be safe. Praying every day for you...
ReplyDeleteDear Vedra Family,
ReplyDeleteWe have kept updated on your family through the website Harvest sent out. Although we are not officially part of the Harvest family anymore, we just wanted to let you know that we are praying for you and rejoice in your strength and faithfulness in seeing Ellie develop. When I read that the doctor's wanted to let her go, I was stunned and prayed for you right then and there. You are in our prayers and we will continue to pray for strength and peace for everyone involved. I remember Mark being in NICU for 10 days and I was a mess. You are a great testament to God's faithfulness.
In Him,
Anthony, Sally Jo, Mark, Hope, Michael, and Ashley Roorda
She is too cute! I just want to bite her cheeks!
ReplyDeleteLOVE the video! What a typical little baby, she just seems to be doing so well. What an answer to prayer!
ReplyDeletePraise God! He has been so faithful. I am so happy to hear all the positive updates, and it was so exciting to see you able to wear Ellie! I loved the video of her-she moves so much more than I was picturing. I can't wait to meet her one day. We still have some colds at our house so we want to make sure that is all gone before we come and see precious Ellie.
ReplyDeleteI was so excited to see the video today...she is amazing. She is a beautiful, active, happy little princess! I loved the sling and the smile it brought to your face. May you all continue to heal and move forward.
ReplyDeleteShe looks great in that sling!!!!! You will really show the nurses what can be done in the NICU.

You are amazing to share Ellie's daily progress... steady leaps and bounds... little miracles!
ReplyDeleteEllie in motion is most fun, but mom and baby bundled together is so natural, normal and another miracle.
Love to all of you. Soon you'll all be together at home!
Thank you.
The video was a wonderful idea. It is great to see Ellie in such an active state. As the others have said, God is working miracles in our lives(I am including myself as a part of the immediate family). We continue to praise and pray.
