Eleanor meets more of her family Tuesday 9:00pm

Tonight was an exciting night for Ellie. She was able to meet her Uncle Jeff and Aunt Jen. They were very excited to meet her. Ellie also met her big brothers. The boys were on their best behavior, and I think it was good for them to see where we have been going off to all the time.

We got to see Ellie's eyes tonight! When we arrived there was an Opthamologist examining her eyes. He had opened them to examine them, and she left them open for a while afterwards. They are a dark blue just like her brothers' eyes. We're very happy to say that her eyes seem healthy and in working order. He, like all the others, expressed that he wishes she was more responsive, but as far as eyes go, they are physically healthy.

We are happy for the little blessings from God and give thanks for his goodness during this difficult time.

"Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the preace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus." (Phillippians 4:6&7)

God's Spirit and Word give us much comfort.

Adam and Emily

    Dearest Emily and Adam,

Betsy forwarded me the link to your site.

We may be many many miles away in Northern Ireland but we are praying for you and your family.

The boys have grown so much in the past two years since I moved. Ellie is a truly a lovely baby.

Do you remember Susan from P&N? She married Philip's good friend this August and is now living here. It sure is a small world.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

Love and hugs, Julie & Philip

  11. Ellie is also in our prayers. She sounds like quite a little trooper. :o) I will be staffing the NICU pharmacy satellite this weekend. If there's anything I can help with or do, please let me know. I will be all around the floor and hope to see you guys. Anything I can do to make your stay a little easier or better, I would love to. Hang in there.

  12. How encouraging to see a family that stands firm in trusting in God during a trying time. May we all be this way when encountering trials in our lives! What an inspiration to us all. So thankful for the smooth transfer to DeVos. We can't wait to meet her. If you need anything let us know.

God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in struggle (Ps. 46:1).

He shall feed his flock like a shepherd: he shall gather the lambs with his arm, and carry [them] in his bosom, [and] shall gently lead those that are with young (Is 40:11).

Our prayers continue for your family.

  15. You are in my prayers. I first heard about Ellie from a friend of your father/father-in-law's. Your strength in waiting for the Lord and trusting Him is encouraging to me as I wait for answers to something I'm struggling with.
I grew up in Greenville, so I know Klackles and enjoyed looking at the pictures.
My niece had heart surgery in Devos' Children's hospital when she was 9-months old. She had a hole in her heart that may be similar to Ellie's case. They really know their stuff at Devos and she literally went to dinner with us 6 hours after her surgery!
    Your sister in Christ,
    Angie
